Check out their website, www.wvahi.org.
All Building Code Officials, Inspectors and Plans Examiners are required to document 1.5 Continuing Education Units (CEU’s) annually to maintain certification by the WV State Fire Commission. Certification renewal is required every three years.
The renewal cycle under Title 87, Legislative Rules, State Fire Commission Series 7, is from the date of your initial certification to three years later. The Fire Marshal will send notice to all certified building code officials, inspectors and plans examiner when specified on the renewal notice. CEU documentation on the forms or method required will be due when specified.
If you have other training not among the Fire Commission-approved providers, or did in-house training or mentoring, forward documentation of the training (subject, instructor, date, time, attendees) to President Cannon and he will provide documentation of training approval by WVCOA for submission to the Fire Marshal.
ICC-WVCOA SEMINAR CEU'S
CEU Certificates, the verification of attendance at all ICC-WVCOA Seminars, will be provided at the end of each seminar. This insures the integrity of the training and verifies individual attendance. Anyone who leaves early will not receive a certificate until he or she files a written request noting the actual hours of attendance, to the President, WVCOA for his approval.
